Wise Blood by Flannery O’Connor (audiobook)
This was also narrated by Bronson Pinchot. He is only good in short spurts, such as her short stories. I got real tired of his narration towards the end. At that point I stopped listening and just read the rest of the novel.
This may or may not meant to be a more humorous book. I couldn’t tell though. I liked the story but it also left me scratching my head trying to figure things out, especially at the end. Again, her works needs annotations for the likes of me. It is so subtle otherwise.
There’s one more book of hers I want to get through in the next few weeks.
