Characters, Emotion, and Viewpoint
by Nancy Kress
This is the second book in the “Write Great Fiction” series put out by Writer’s Digest Press that I’ve read (the previous one was on Plot). I like a lot of the examples she used. In the book about Plot, the author tended to use a lot of examples from Dean Koontz novels. However, Nancy Kress took examples all over the spectrum – from romance to sci-fi to the classics – and took examples of what to do and what NOT to do.
I thought this book was pretty solid.
